Canonical Tag

An HTML element that tells search engines which version of a page is the master copy, preventing duplicate content issues.

Canonical tags are especially important for websites with URL parameters, filterable product listings, or content published in multiple locations. Incorrect use of canonical tags can cause search engines and AI crawlers to index the wrong page version.
