Entity Recognition

The process by which AI systems identify and categorize specific people, places, organizations, products, or concepts within content.

Good entity recognition is a prerequisite for AI citation. If AI models cannot clearly identify who the author is, which organization is behind the content, or what the product is called, they will not cite it. Schema markup for Person, Organization, and Product significantly increases entity recognition.
